DES MOINES - Jan 30/08 - SNS -- Bi-weekly USDA report on organic grain and feedstuffs prices in the U.S. upper midwest.

Weighted Average Report for Week Ending 1/26/2008

Organic grain and feedstuff prices continue the rollercoaster ride compared
to two weeks ago.  Coarse grain prices firm to 1.00 higher
on light offerings and very good demand. Small grains steady to firm
on light offerings and good demand.  There are sales of HRW wheat
from 12.00 to 14.50 per bushel for food, and SRW for over 20.00/bu.  Alfalfa
hay steady. Processors are continuing to look for more
organic commodities.  Buyers are reporting wheat and soybeans
being very hard to locate. The talk among industry is the slowdown
in imports from Asia of soybean and wheat.  Monthly and 4rd quarter average
prices located below.  All prices FOB the farm and negotiated spot market.
