CWB Contract Calls

WINNIPEG - Mar 11/08 - SNS -- The Canadian Wheat Board (CWB) announced contract calls for Canada Western Red Spring wheat (CARS), Canada Prairie Spring Red wheat (CPSR), Canada Prairie Spring White wheat (CPSW), Canada Western Extra Strong Red Spring wheat (CWES), Canada Western Red Winter wheat (CWRW) and Canada Western Soft White Spring wheat (CWSWS) for the 2007-08 crop year.

Specific calls are identified below. Effective March 11, 2008, these delivery calls apply to grain in straight, tough or damp condition.

With today's calls, 100% of Series A for No. 3 CWRS and CWSWS and 100% of Series B for Nos. 3 and 4 CWRS, CPSR, CPSW, CWES, CWRW and CWSWS have now been called for delivery.

Also, the CWB announced contract terminations, effective April 30, 2008, for 25% of A series Nos. 1, 2, and 3 CWAD and effective May 30, 2008, 25% of A series Nos. 1, 2, and 3 CWRS, 25% of CPSR, 50% of CPSW, 50% of CWES and 25% of CWRW. Details are outlined below. These delivery terminations apply to grain in straight, tough or damp condition.

With today's terminations, 25% of Nos. 1, 2, and 3 CWRS, 75% of CPSR, 50% of CPSW, 50% of CWES, 75% CWRW and 75% Nos. 1, 2, and 3 CWAD will be terminated by the announced dates.
