Weighted Average Report for Week Ending 03/22/2008
Organic grain and feedstuff prices were slightly higher compared to
two weeks ago. Demand was light to moderate for light offerings.
Feed grade corn and soybeans were higher, with food grade wheat
mostly steady. Small grains were steady. Soybeans and corn prices
were higher on good demand and tight supplies. Trading activity was
mixed as grain dealers were busy with forwarding contracts and not many
spot market purchases. There are reports of purchases of imported soybeans
ranging from 30.00 to 33.00 per busehel. Organic wheat midds ranging
from 280.00 to 310.00 per ton.
