Upper U.S. Midwest Organic Grain and Feedstuffs

DES MOINES - Mar 11/09 - SNS -- Bi-weekly USDA report on organic grain and feedstuffs prices in the U.S. upper midwest.


Upper Midwest Organic Grain & Feedstuffs Report (Bi-Weekly)
Weighted Average Report for the Week Ending      03/07/09

Compared to two weeks ago, organic grain and feedstuff prices were lower
on light demand with moderate offerings.  New crop feed grade corn
contracts are from $7.00 to $8.50 per bushel.  New crop feed grade
soybean contracts are from $17.00 to $18.00 per bushel.  New crop food
grade soybean contracts are from $19.00 to $23.00 per bushel.  Wheat mids
ranged in price from $200 to $300 per ton.  Hay prices continued to
weaken during the reporting period.  Monthly and fourth quarter average
prices located below.  All prices FOB the farm and negotiated spot
market.
