Weighted Average Report for Week Ending 9/19/2009
Compared to two weeks ago, organic grain and feedstuff prices traded
steady to firm. Demand and offerings were light to moderate. Feed grade
corn and wheat were steady. Trading activity was active for feed grade
soybeans which supported prices. With the upcoming harvest season
just around the corner producers were busy inquiring about price levels
for new crop corn and soybeans. Indications for new crop feed grade corn
ranged from 5.00 to 6.50 per bushel. Feed grade soybeans ranged from 16.00
to 18.00 per bushel. In the northern areas of the cornbelt frost was reported
but limited damage was recorded.
