Upper U.S. Midwest Organic Grain and Feedstuffs

DES MOINES - Nov 4/09 - SNS -- Bi-weekly USDA report on organic grain and feedstuffs prices in the U.S. upper midwest.

Upper Midwest Organic Grain & Feedstuffs Report (Bi-Weekly)
Weighted Average Report for the Week Ending 10/31/09

Compared to two weeks ago, organic grain and feedstuff prices were mostly
steady with moderate demand and offerings. Wet conditions continue to
slow down farmers in the fields, and talk of a long harvest is prevalent.
According to USDA NASS, only 25 percent of the conventional corn crop
has been harvested, compared to 53 percent on November 1, 2008. Soybeans
are 51 percent harvested, compared to 85 percent one year ago. Monthly
and third quarter average prices are located below. All prices FOB the
farm and negotiated spot market.
