cwt, bagged. (All milled rice grade No 2 not to exceed 4 percent brokens, except
California grade No 1. All second heads grade No 4 or better, second head and
brewers are bulk.)

Domestic Situation
Domestic milled rice price quotes were steady to instances 75 cents lower in
the south and steady to 50 cents lower in California this week. By-products were
steady in the south and steady to higher in California.
In the south, long grain rice price quotes were steady to instances 75 cents
lower, quoted mostly at 24.00-25.50; medium grain prices were steady, quoted
mostly at 30.50-32.00; parboiled quotes were steady, quoted mostly at 27.75-
29.00; second heads were steady, quoted mostly at 18.50-19.00; brewers were
steady, quoted mostly at 17.00-18.00. Rice by-products: Offers for rice bran
were steady; millfeed was steady; hulls were steady.
In California, medium grain milled rice prices were steady to 50 cents lower,
quoted mostly from 37.00-38.00; short grain prices were steady to 50 cents
lower; second heads were steady to 1.50 higher; brewers were steady. Rice bran
was 2.00-12.00 higher, hulls were steady.
