Dairy Product Markets Mostly Easier

WASHINGTON - Feb 26/10 - SNS -- Dairy product markets in the United States were largely down over the week ending February 20, reveals the latest USDA statistics.

Cheddar Cheese prices received for US 40 pound Blocks averaged $1.51 per pound. The price per pound rose 0.4 cents from the previous week. The price for US 500 pound Barrels adjusted to 38% moisture averaged $1.50 per pound, down 0.9 cents from last week.

Butter prices realized for 25 kilogram and 68 pound boxes meeting USDA Grade AA standards averaged $1.34 per pound. The U.S. price per pound declined 1.0 cents from the previous week.

Nonfat Dry Milk prices paid for bag, tote and tanker sales meeting USDA Extra Grade or USPH Grade A standards averaged $1.07 per pound. The U.S. price per pound fell 7.2 cents compared to the previous week.
