Canada's Weekly Exports Total 419,000 MT

WINNIPEG - Mar 5/10 - STAT -- Export clearances of all grains and oilseeds shipped from Canada total 16,297,200 metric tons (MT) so far this marketing year down 445,100 MT from the 16,742,300 moved last year.

The latest report from the Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) summarized weekly product movement through licensed primary and terminal elevator facilities for the week ending February 28.

Grower deliveries during the week included 475,700 MT of wheat; 77,800 MT of durum; 44,400 MT of oats; 63,200 MT of barley; 9,300 MT of flax; 279,300 MT of canola; 17,700 MT of peas; and 4,500 MT of corn.

The CGC pegged total exports during the week at 419,000 MT. On the grain side this included including 210,900 MT of wheat; 7,900 MT of durum; 11,100 MT of oats; 2,100 MT of barley; and 100 MT of corn.
