Eastern Cornbelt Organic Grain & Feedstuffs Report (Bi-Weekly)
Weighted Average Report for Week Ending 4/17/2010
Compared to two weeks ago, organic grain and feedstuffs traded mixed
with feed grade soybean prices slightly higher. Cash sales were slow
for organic grains due to end users with heavy supplies of organic
corn and wheat. News of producers struggling financially have been
pressured to sell in the conventional markets to recover some value from
their 2009 crop. Monthly and 1st quarter averages of organic prices
located below. All prices FOB the farm and negotiated spot market.
