Eastern U.S. Organic Grain and FeedstuffsSPRINGFIELD - May 5/10 - SNS -- Bi-weekly USDA report on organic grain and feedstuffs prices in the eastern cornbelt in the United States.
Eastern Cornbelt Organic Grain & Feedstuffs Report (Bi-Weekly)
Weighted Average Report for Week Ending 5/01/2010
Compared to two weeks ago, organic grain and feedstuff prices were
lower with light demand. Trading activity was slow, especially
as more farmers busy planting than selling grain. With grain
inventories near capacity, end users are unwilling to buy ahead
with the potential of lower prices. This has limited buying interest
for organic grains. Monthly and 1st quarter averages of organic prices
located below. All prices FOB the farm and negotiated spot market.
