Upper U.S. Midwest Organic Grain and FeedstuffsDES MOINES - Jul 14/10 - SNS -- Bi-weekly USDA report on organic grain and feedstuffs prices in the U.S. upper midwest.
Upper Midwest Organic Grain & Feedstuffs Report (Bi-Weekly)
Weighted Average Report for the Week Ending 07/10/10
Compared to two weeks ago, organic grain and feedstuff prices were
steady with light to moderate demand and offerings. At the publish
time of this report, trades of feed grade flax and barley had been
reported but an adequate test of the market had not been established.
Producers are experiencing a long awaited dry period in many areas
of the Upper Midwest, which has prompted urgent cultivation to curb
further weed growth in flooded and excessively wet areas. Monthly
and second quarter average prices are located below. All prices
FOB the farm and negotiated spot market.
