Eastern New Mexico Grain Market SummaryCLOVIS - May 11/04 - SNS -- The USDA today issued its latest weekly summary of grain market values and conditions in New Mexico.
Eastern New Mexico Grain
Cash bids to farmers, fob elevators as of 2:30 pm May 11, 2004 for
immediate delivery in dollar per bushel and per hundred weight:
Compared to last week: Trade slow; demand moderate. Wheat 25 lower; corn and
milo 43-45 lower.
Wheat is very slow. Elevators are getting ready for harvest. Most farmers
need rain. A good amount of new crop wheat is being bailed and put up for
silage.
Corn is moving to feedlots and dairies. All corn is coming in by rail.
Elevators are very current. New crop corn has been planted, most is coming up.
Milo is very slow. Elevators are current. Some milo is being shipped in by
truck. Farmers will start planting, as soon as they get a rain.
