Polish Wheat Import Needs EaseVIENNA - May 11/04 - SNS -- Poland's wheat import requirements are expected to decline during the 2004-05 marketing year in the face of a solid recovery in local production levels. Total grain production is expected to jump 12% to a more normal 28 million metric tons (MT) due to mild weather conditions. Combined with reduced feed demand on account of a smaller hog herd, the country's total import requirement is expected to slip under 500,000 MT in the coming season.
